Amazon.com is an enormous and increasingly international organization that not only distributes physical goods, but controls the programming/backbone for an even larger number of goods and services via its Amazon Web Services. 

Just as distribution of electricity and water are considered to be essential services or "public utilities" - distribution of such a vast range of essential goods from food to cleaning supplies must also be considered a utility worthy of distinction from other types of for-profit enterprise. 

Amazon must be understood as a critical public service and nationalized as a public utility. It's Founder, Jeff Bezos, has earned enough money for himself and infinite generations of his family. While he should be and has been rewarded for his inventiveness, imagination, and dedication to building a distribution system that was previously unimaginable, his 100 billion dollars of net worth is more than adequate. His personal interests alongside the stockholders need to make way for the much more pressing public health and safety interests that Amazon now serves. 

Amidst the Coronavirus pandemic, we can see that distribution of essential goods in the United States must be subject to central control for the safety and health of all Americans. 

The undersigned demand that the US Government nationalize Amazon and its holdings as an assertion that distribution of essential goods be understood as a public, national utility for the benefit of all Americans and other global citizens in markets where Amazon operates.
